My personal favorite: Valentine Monkey Bread šŸ’• Cut flaky biscuits into quarters. Toss all quarters in sugar. Put 4 quarters in a sprayed muffin tin and cook until slightly turning brown (10-15 min). As soon as you take out of oven pour warmed icing (strawberry or your favorite) over monkey bread and top with sprinkles!

Beignets

MardiĀ Gras šŸ’œšŸ’šand this easy (naughty) recipe for with Praline Sauce go hand in hand! 1 package flaky biscuits 1 C butter flavor shortening, for frying 8 tablespoons butter 1 C dark brown sugar, packed 3 Tb milk 1 tsp vanilla 1ā„4 C toasted pecans, chopped Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add sugar and whisk until sugar melts and mixture begins to boil, about 5 minutes. Stir in milk, vanilla, and pecans until smooth. Set aside. Separate biscuits and cut into fourths. In heavy bottomed skillet, melt the shortening over medium heat. Fry biscuit quarters in batches until golden on each side (this will take 30 seconds or so so watch and flip quickly. Dust generously with powdered sugar and serve with sauce. You can also reheat before serving if not eating right away.

Apple Oatmeal Snack

This late-night snack blows my three bowls of cereal out of the water. Now it’s an after school, breakfast, and nothing in the fridge favorite. Apple, middle cored out Oatmeal, cooked Brown sugar Cinnamon Pecans Kosher salt Core out middle of the apple and cut up to add to oatmeal. Cook oatmeal and add cinnamon, apple chunks, pecans, dash of salt, and cinnamon. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Top with additional brown sugar (and a blob of butter if you’re living dangerously

National popcorn-day and I’m tempted to get in my car to go buy ingredients for my favorite Valentines Popcorn. May have to wait until tomorrow because I’m all ready for bed. šŸ˜Š One bag microwave popcorn One bag white chocolate chips Conversation hearts Valentine Sprinkles After popcorn is popped, melt chocolate chips in microwave and pour over popcorn. Mix until incorporated then add hearts and sprinkles.

Aunt Phyllis’ French Mints

I’m always looking for good dessert recipes (since we know I’m a terrible baker) especially for a crowd. My darling friend @eloiseandme passed along a family favorite that I’m making today for the first time. Can’t wait @eloiseandme Thank you! Aunt Phyllis’ French Mints 8 eggs 2 c butter 4 c powder sugar 4 t vanilla 2 t peppermint extract 8 square melted baking chocolate (square is 1oz) 4 c chopped pecans Beat butter until fluffy. Add powdered sugar. Beat for 15 minutes (this is the secret). Add melted chocolate after it has cooled. Beat 5 more minutes. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well after each. Add vanilla and peppermint. Cover bottom of cupcake liners with nuts. Spoon mixture on top and sprinkle with nuts on top. Store in freezer. I cover them after they have frozen a little. I do some without nuts too. Makes about 55 servings.

Almond Croissant French Toast

Try this indulgent Almond filled Croissant French Toast. The best part is you can serve them at the same time and not be flipping French toast all morning. Croissant (almond filled, chocolate, or plain) Egg, milk, vanilla, cinnamon mixture Frozen Berries Maple Syrup Orange Zest Soak croissants in egg mixture. Heat on griddle or pan as usual on each side. Once all are done, stick in oven at 350 for 10 minutes or until cooked all the way through. In saucepan heat berries until warmed. Add maple syrup to berries ( you won’t need a lot). Top French toast with berries and orange zest!

Grilled Peaches with Vanilla and Honey Mascarpone

Peach Season is almost over! You can’t miss this amazing peach dessert! 8 Peaches 6 TB Honey 3 TB Butter 1 carton Mascarpone cheese 1 TB Vanilla bean paste 1 loaf Pound cake, grilled Combine 3 TB honey with 3TB butter and coat peach halves. (Keep leftover mixture). Grill on Traeger until grill marks form on both sides. Combine one container of mascarpone cheese, 3 TB honey, and 1 TB vanilla bean paste. Slice pound cake and grill on high for one minute on each side. Layer grilled peach on top of pound cake and top with mascarpone cheese honey mixture. Drizzle leftover honey butter mixture on top.

Thanks @eloiseandme. “This one turned out just as I imagined, sweet but not too sweet, hint of cinnamon, buttery, doughy- but still perfectly crisp on top.” Peach Base 8 fresh peaches – peeled and sliced into thick wedges 2 tablespoons white sugar 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice 2 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch Topping 2 cups flour 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup white sugar 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 12 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces 1/2 cup boiling water Directions -Preheat oven to 425 1. In large bowl, combine peaches, sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Toss to coat evenly. Bake in 2qt baking dish for 10 min. 2. Meanwhile create the topping by combining flour, sugars, baking powder, and salt. Blend in butter with your fingertips until mixture resembles coarse meal….
