I’m obsessed with Aloha Granola when I’m in Hawaii. Unfortunately they don’t sell it on Amazon, so you can make your own at home! Aloha Granola- Your favorite granola (store bought is fine) Unsweetened coconut flakes Sunflower seeds Sesame Seeds Macadamia Nuts, chopped Tropical dried fruit, chopped (Dried pineapple, mango, or papaya) Dash of honey. Steel Cut Oats with Vanilla Mascarpone and Berries

Happy Sunday! We took the time to make traditional steel cut oats and it was delicious. Lazy Sunday mornings are the best! Follow package directions for making oats but use almond milk instead of milk or water. Add a dash of maple syrup Dash of salt Dash of butter if you’re really going crazy Top with fresh fruit and Madagascar Vanilla Mascarpone cheese (and one more dash of salt)! Have a wonderful day!

Steel Cut Oatmeal

A delicious and quick Steel cut oats (that your kids will love too): Mix unsweetened vanilla almond milk with your favorite steel cut oats in the microwave or stovetop (@courtneyzwick turned me onto Country Choice Organic which is now my favorite -it’s what they use at Jamba Juice) Mix in more almond milk to get desired consistency A dash of kosher salt Maple syrup And a little bit of butter Top with TJ pumpkin spiced pumpkin seeds

Crunchy Pumpkin French Toast

Happy Sunday!   Pumpkin crunchy French toast with Buttermilk syrup: Use Texas toast or thickly sliced French bread. Make usual French toast mixture of eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and milk. Add a can of pumpkin pie mix. Crush corn flakes and dip bread in egg mixture and then coat in corn flakes. Make sure to butter your griddle.   Buttermilk syrup: 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup buttermilk 1 cup sugar 1 tsp vanilla 1 tsp baking soda Mix first 3 ingredients until mixed together then add vanilla and baking soda.

Grilled Cheese with fig jam and caramelized onion

Still dreaming about these kicked up grilled cheese sandwiches I served as appetizers last night. I wish there were leftovers because we will be doing takeout until Monday! Use your favorite thick sliced bread (I used a wheat seedy one that worked great). Butter both slices of bread and sprinkle seasoned salt on buttered side of one slice. Layer with: Fig jam Grated sharp cheddar cheese Carmelized Onions Very thinly sliced Granny Smith apple Cook on hot griddle and serve.
